Asia first to break 1000 mark

This week both Asia and Latin America experienced a huge increase in registrations for VISTA 2012-2013. Total participants as of Friday 17 August stand at over 6500, forming close to 2000 teams.

However it is the huge growth in Asia and Latin America that really has organizers impressed. Asia became the first region to attract over 1000 participants and is now the biggest region in the whole competition. As previously reported on this site, market leaders in Asia set themselves some very ambitious targets for VISTA 2012-2013, and have implemented a number of initiatives and incentives to increase participation. These latest figures suggest they’re proving successful.

Latin America has also seen a huge surge in registrations, with numbers doubling this week. There are now over 600 participants, making them the third largest region in terms of participants.
