Whether it’s disappointing results or lack of confidence, many teams can be tempted to drop out of VISTA after Round One. But remember the competition is about more than just winning, and there plenty of incentives to keep going and see it through to the end.
Plenty to learn
VISTA is first and foremost a training event. Every question is designed to test your knowledge and teach you something new. Think of each question as a small lesson and embrace the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise.
VISTA is ideal for getting to know your work colleagues better, both professionally and personally. Learn more about each other’s roles and responsibilities, while at the same time have fun and interact away from the pressure of your daily work demands.
Awards and acknowledgement
Having the perseverance and dedication to take part in all three rounds is an achievement in itself, which is why many markets award a special gift to every participant who completes the competition. It’s recognition of the time and effort you’ve put into making VISTA a success.
It’s far from over
Firstly, there are still two rounds to go and anything can happen. Secondly, it’s no coincidence that the most successful VISTA teams are also the most experienced, so even if you’re unlikely to reach the finals, the next two rounds are ideal preparation for future VISTA competitions.
