Bangkok hosts Asia Pacific VISTA final

The Asia Pacific Final, which will decide which six teams from the region will qualify for the VISTA world final in Gothenburg, begins this week in Bangkok.

In total 24 teams will travel to the Thai capital, and will battle it out over six work stations. The competition will take place on 5th-6th April, with the winners announced at the awards dinner on 7th April. Participants will also get the opportunity to tour the TSA plant in Bangkok.

Already VISTA 2015-2016 has been a runaway success in the region, with the number of participants increasing by nearly 50 per cent, and the three theoretical rounds resulting in a retention rate of 98 per cent – the highest completion rate globally. Now organisers are hoping to continue this success in the regional final as well.

“The overall atmosphere has been great; collaborative and supportive,” says Kris Meuleman, Director Competence Development & Chief Project Manager for VISTA in Asia Pacific. “The local team in Thailand has been giving full support to the central team with the overall execution and we also have other internal colleagues helping out – some even flying in to Bangkok as judges – to ensure that the 2015 – 2016 VISTA is the best yet!”

The progress of the Asia Pacific Final will be regularly updated on their Instagram account @vista.asiapac. For results and coverage of the Asia Pacific Final, as well as the other VISTA semi-finals, check the VISTA website and follow the competition via the VISTA Facebook page.
